Haul: Makeup, Perfume and Novels (Very Picture Heavy)

THE ICONIC

A whole bunch of stuff I've bought since 3 or 4 months ago.

Skin79 Hot Pink Super Plus BB Cream. I was skeptical that the colour wouldn't match but it really does, so I must be a lot more paler than I was in the past. One thing, definitely not flash photography friendly, as are most spf containing products.

Etude House Drawing Eye Brow Pencil. This is my HG eye brow product. There's nothing I need more. I have it in shade grey brown and dark brown..I think. I bought these a very long while ago and use them almost daily.

Stila Eye Kohl in Topaz, perfect for the lower waterline, much more natural than using white.

I actually don't think I've blogged about this, I won one of those Youtube giveaways that beauty gurus always hold. I don't enter them too often maybe one every month or so. I won saaamage's (one of my favourite youtube gurus) giveaway and what I received is below. Unfortunately one of the Lorac eyeshadows was destroyed during delivery. The pink thing is a Sedona Lace kabuki, very dense and great quality. The Jewelmint bracelet is lovely but much too loose for my wrist I might sell it?

88 Eyeshadow Palette

Rimmel Nail White Pencil

Little Perfume Sample, I really like the Michael Kors one!

Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau so Fresh

The Hunger Games Trilogy. Got these for a great deal on ebay about 2 months ago. I've only just started reading the first book today heh.

Nailtiques, I bought this for my mum since her nails have been very brittle and peeling lately. So far she thinks it has been living up to its reviews.

China Glaze haul that Michael brought back for me from America. They cost around $3-$4 each, even the cheapest places in Melbourne sell them for at least $6.

Unfortunately I had an ELF order that was meant to be delivered to Michael's apartment in New York. It never arrived :( Luckily they were very good about refunding me the full amount.

Blush and concealer palettes, Ebay. Will do a more in depth review in the future.

24 colour nail polish pen set

2 wet n wild matte lipsticks. Review coming.

Candles from IKEA, (the most amazing smelling candles I've come across)

Boxing Day

This year I went with Sylvia to the city at 4am on the 26th. I attempted to sleep from 12-2am but I think I woke up 3 or 4 times in those 2 hours so it was barely a nap. Then I was off to pick up Sylvia from her house.
The crowds were disappointing this year, to say the least, but never fear it was still fun for us. Perhaps due to the storms just hours before, or perhaps there was a general lack of enthusiasm this year.
Initially we saw maybe 10 people or less in front of Myer and over 100 outside of David Jones, so we thought something exciting must be going down at David Jones, but after some condescending instructions from a security guard we decided to join in on the fun outside Myer.
The camera crews didn't arrive until just before 5.

Standing outside David Jones

Sitting outside Myer.

Some initial scouting of myer revealed that the bargains weren't really bargains at all. The few things that did catch my eye were still bloody expensive.
We took a break at Brunetti's and giggled over the 'faggotino' (aka a chocolate croissant), which we later bought and ate. Jenny met up with us soon after but her shift started at 7am so she had to leave.

Then drove Sylvia home and was off to Chadstone, was only there for a short while with Daniel, and by the time I was there all the good stuff (at least in my size) was gone :( Boohoo. Next year I'm going to go to chaddy in the morning. Eventually bought a set of Calvin Klein underwear, truly the most comfortable ones I own to this day.

That day I came to the sad realisation that I love love love heels, yet I never wear them as I am just that lazy. I own 5 pairs that are fairly high, which isn't that many for most girls, but for someone who wears them a couple of times a year they're going to waste. Ugh. See my excuse is that I don't go clubbing, I don't go anywhere that requires me to be dressed up, and I wouldn't wear heels more than 8cm high on a casual day because I like to be comfortable.

Next post: Christmas presents and most likely an unnecessary rant about life.

Review: Revlon Lip Butters - Peach Parfait & Tutti Fruitti

Yayayay look what arrived in the mail last week! :D

The packaging has a quilted pattern embossed into it, reminiscent of the original Colourburst lipsticks.
I think there are about a total of 20 shades from what I've read.

Forewarning, I've never cropped the picture to just my lips but the rest of my face looked horrendous. Prepare yourself for close ups of my my slightly awkward, lopsided smile.

My naked lips, this is why I never realised the dark patch on my lip was a freckle, the creases in my lip kinda mix in with it.

Tutti Fruitti
A sheer orange-coral, I expected a brighter orange to be honest but I really love this colour. Very summery and bright but not overtly so. The colour is definitely build-able to a medium coverage lipstick but not opaque.

Peach Parfait
Just like all the reviews, this is the perfect every day pink for my lips, this could complement any look.  Similar to tutti fruitti, it has a sheer coverage but build-able. After watching hollyanaeree's review I was scared that this would feel gritty due to the shimmer but I'm happy to say that this feels smooth and comfortable to wear.

Overall
These did not disappoint and lived up to my expectations after reading and watching countless reviews. Although these are called 'lip butters' I would consider them more of a hybrid between lipsticks and a lip butter, the colour pay off and pigmentation is amazing for something that feels so moisturising.

Of course with that being said, due to the creamy nature of the formula, this is not the most long lasting lip product, at most a few hours. But reapplication is a dream, this really just glides over your lips.

Back to the moisturising side of these, the moment I took peach parfait off my lips, I noticed that they felt so soft and smooth, much more so then before I put any on.

And if you thought I couldn't sing any more praise for these, the scent of these is really attractive..if I can describe a smell like that. It's a sugary, sweet scent and the taste is much better than normal lipsticks that I use.

I would definitely buy more, the only thing stopping me is that I don't think these are even available in Australia yet...or will they ever be? Even if they are I'll bet my money on the fact that one lip butter will retail for in excess of $20.

Ichigo Milk Soap

[oops forget to publish wrote this yesterday]

Good afternoon dear readers, here is a recap of the past week in pictures.

Uneven eyelids, truly the bane of my existence. And my eyebrows look short here.
Someone tell me what these statues were for? I passed them a couple of times on the tram.

More recent ASOS package, will take photos of what came as I wear the items :)

Look what came in the mail, THIS weekend...I mean the sale was over at the start of the month -.-

FRIDAY

After putting up some posters around shops we walked past 'Why You' in the CBD. How amazing is the interior of it?! Looks like something straight out of Japan. Daniel bought me Ichigo Milk Soap, It smells like strawberries and cream I can't wait to use it! >;D

After that we bumped into Venesha, Rushani and Kevin in MC.

TODAY

Tiring day, after only 4 hours sleep, it was off to the airport then home to do 3 loads of washing. House wife in the making aren't I? :P (I kid, I'm far from housewife worthy)

Pictures of when we were driving along the freeway, never fear I wasn't driving and taking pictures. Encountered some terrible drivers who kept drifting into our lane, learn how to drive! (I used the word drive and derivatives of it too many times in 2 sentences..)

Melbourne Airport, first time I've seen the letters on one of these boards flipping, but funnily enough I watched as the L in 'Leave' flip to a Q and it stayed that way for the next few hours :\

So sorry (pic heavy)

I know it's been much too long since I wrote a proper post with pictures and all. And I don't have time to break this trend just yet, currently trying to study for a calc mid sem, it might only be worth 15% but who knows how well or terribly I might go when it comes to the exam! So better to be safe than sorry, I usually over do it but oh well. I'll leave you with some pictures:

At the Oaktree Gala, I know I look dishevelled.

Birthday (don't mind the manic expression in the 3rd picture)

Yeah my bear beanie, and various other online purchases! Ahaha oh no I forgot to add that the skin care products a bought for my mum because I was feeling generous and they were a good deal.

CG Who are you wearing, in love with this colour.

The goodwood order

ASOS package! I don't have pictures of what I bought just yet.

Also another 2 packages arrived today weoo.
