Haul: Makeup, Perfume and Novels (Very Picture Heavy)

THE ICONIC

A whole bunch of stuff I've bought since 3 or 4 months ago.

Skin79 Hot Pink Super Plus BB Cream. I was skeptical that the colour wouldn't match but it really does, so I must be a lot more paler than I was in the past. One thing, definitely not flash photography friendly, as are most spf containing products.

Etude House Drawing Eye Brow Pencil. This is my HG eye brow product. There's nothing I need more. I have it in shade grey brown and dark brown..I think. I bought these a very long while ago and use them almost daily.

Stila Eye Kohl in Topaz, perfect for the lower waterline, much more natural than using white.

I actually don't think I've blogged about this, I won one of those Youtube giveaways that beauty gurus always hold. I don't enter them too often maybe one every month or so. I won saaamage's (one of my favourite youtube gurus) giveaway and what I received is below. Unfortunately one of the Lorac eyeshadows was destroyed during delivery. The pink thing is a Sedona Lace kabuki, very dense and great quality. The Jewelmint bracelet is lovely but much too loose for my wrist I might sell it?

88 Eyeshadow Palette

Rimmel Nail White Pencil

Little Perfume Sample, I really like the Michael Kors one!

Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau so Fresh

The Hunger Games Trilogy. Got these for a great deal on ebay about 2 months ago. I've only just started reading the first book today heh.

Nailtiques, I bought this for my mum since her nails have been very brittle and peeling lately. So far she thinks it has been living up to its reviews.

China Glaze haul that Michael brought back for me from America. They cost around $3-$4 each, even the cheapest places in Melbourne sell them for at least $6.

Unfortunately I had an ELF order that was meant to be delivered to Michael's apartment in New York. It never arrived :( Luckily they were very good about refunding me the full amount.

Easter

Sylvia had an Easter Party at her house on Saturday night, it was so good catching up with school friends. I can talk to them so easily, the familiarity of a group of people that I had shared so many memories with was something I missed.

I also watched Beetlejuice with Daniel the other day. I remember seeing parts of it on t.v. as a child and being scared. Turns out it's not scary at all but has a great storyline and actors.

I'll make a collective haul post soon! I'm trying to remember what I've bought over the past month or so. Something along the lines of, a stila kajal, eyelashes, a brow pencil, BB cream, oh and some books even if they're not related.

I finally started reading a book again today, The Meaning of Things by AC Grayling.

It's non-fictional novel about (and I quote the subtitle) 'applying philosophy to life'. And you should know I love books like this, although on the flipside fantasy and classic novels are my next favourite thing. The latter I can barely put down as I'm good at immersing myself in riveting storylines, while books like Grayling's are thought-provoking and actually elicit a sense of...enlightenment in me? As silly as that sounds.

Schoolies & I have also become a housewife

So much to tell, but I've already told these stories multiple times, I wish I just typed it when it happened so I could remember it all in detail ahahha

Overall, sunny first 2 days, best beaching day on the tuesday, the rest of the time were lazy afternoons and out at night.
Red frog people are amazing.
So many mo's in movember D:
Too much walking because we lived kinda far from town.
But more on that later (if I ever remember).

I have washed clothes, cleaned, vacuumed, done the dishes, and all by choice. What is happening to me... :|
Oh all the housework wasn't done on schoolies, I mean once I came back D:

Um, just because I cbf updating properely, here are some photos ahahaha.

Today mum gave me some money, so I went and bought some books. I desperately craved something to read.

Oh No

Oh no no no NO D:
English exam looms so near
and damn that 2008 VCAA spesh exam I did yesterday, gave me false hope that I could do okay, but I should have realised 80% was an anomaly when I can barely get 60% in any of the other VCAA ones I've attempted sigh.

The way I feel towards English has shifted from indifference, to fear, to complacency, to panic, to contentment, to confusion, to regret, to hopelessness and to hopefulness.
And right now I'm floating between all these emotions, which is rendering me somewhat distraught at the prospect of 3 hours of non stop essay writing.
Have mercy on me.

On michaels macbook right now, my computer has finally succumbed to the virus, but luckily I just backed up all my files on my new 1.5Tb hard drive, sexy.
Now to format it and reinstall windows, a process that will undoubtedly take forever, oh well at least now I can finally install Photoshop CS5 while I'm at it, which I've been meaning to do for months now, though I hear that many prefer CS4 over CS5.

I tried using Michael's ipad just before but it I think my fingers are actually straining from my terrible grip when I hold pens. Shizen.
Ended up playing Vegie Samurai for a while aahaha

Ahh yeah, back to english/spesh/methods sighsighsigh.

Love Lisa.

PS. I finally finished reading Sherlock Holmes, jesus that book is like a thousand pages long (maybe an exaggeration)
But it was four books in one and the font on each page is incredibly condensed
Now to start on a Picture of Dorian Gray, which I've been meaning to read since year 9 and now I actually have a copy :)
PPS. I do apologise for any typos and incoherent sentences, the laptop is hooked up to a monitor at least 50cm away from where my face is and I can't get closer if I want to type simultaneously to looking at the monitor, anyways what I mean is that due to my lovely myopia what I'm seeing currently is half blurry so please excuse :)

This is how I roll

Me and photoshop, I believe all of these photos were by Sylvia Pam. :)

Thankyou to Faith and Catherine for lending me the books to read. It's only finding these pictures now that I realise I have accidentally stolen them :O
They shall be returned promptly :)

Wow terrible realisation. I haven't actually done anything remotely interesting since 05/16/10, umm...THAT WAS ALMOST A MONTH AGO. Shoot me please. Worst part is I think even my parents are concerned about my lack of social life.
Well I must say, I'll give them this one, they are quite justified this time around. Because that is just one month too long :S

Exams are over yet still no plans. I love that, my life is so invigorating no wonder I'm such a barrel of fun...*cough

Sleepy @ The Gym

Bought Using Language to Persuade (finally) from JP Books, just managed to get in before they closed.
$29.95 ha (I think it's cheaper at A&G).

Then gymmed with my bro, I think he's becoming addicted to the gym.
The people that work there already know him like a friend, then again he does go every day.
While on the bike, I couldn't stop yawning while reading Animal Farm.
It's kind embarassing that I dress in all this intense gear for the gym, and I am failure there LOL
Even more hilarious is the fact that me and my bro wore matching tops.
Well they're not exact but they're the same design Nike ones. His is a compression tee and mine a tank.
We didn't actually realise this until we got to the gym because I was wearing a jumper beforehand.

Shit, everyday I say to myself I'll start on my detailed study for Chinese. And every day I find an excuse to avoid doing it.
AFSGU&#R(&W*GGLWD(A
Someone needs to slap some sense into me.

Love Lisa.
PS. Aforementioned tank really did keep me sweat free, well in the sections it covered. I like.

Early Celebrations

Hello chipmunk.

It was Cath's birthday today and bread day woo. That means cake and bread.

Saw Valentines Day with Martin. It was alright, very cute movie, not much of a storyline but it was interesting how they all the characters were interwoven into each others lives. The happy ending with the kid was unexpected but aww ;D

Martin gave me this cushion/plushie thaaaang ;D

It's so soft and squishy, but it's fairly fat, so it took up all the space in my bag and made it awkward to carry on my shoulder but who cares ;)
Yay now I have two things to hug to sleep hahaha.

and more amazing this:

Holy shit, yes it's the picture storybook I've had on my wishlist since i was 10 years old.
The storyline is just so ridiculously endearing.
One of the most perfect things I could receive.

Still not quite feeling in tip top shape but this temporary illness is definitely passing, wooo :D

Oh had a chem volumetric prac and i kept spilling sulphuric acid on my fingers :( it made them kinda sting and itch.

Promise I'll write more on the weekend, goodnight lovelies and happy weekend.
Love Lisa.
