Growing up

Things were just so simple back then. If you can pick me from the crowd, 2 brownie points to you!

Taco Bill Surprise

So what I thought was just going to be a dinner with Daniel on Friday night turned out to be dinner with almost all of my school friends plus Daniel's friends! ;O It was very unexpected and I was so so confused by the scenario for about 5 minutes haha. But possibly blame that on my lack of sleep and day of uni + jap. How very thoughtful of him to plan this for me <3 (see how lucky I am?) Plus it was great seeing everyone even if I was on opposite ends of the table D;

Love Lisa.
PS. Sadly I have no photos of the night.

Birthday & Anniversary

This is a couple of days late but never mind that. My birthday was on Sunday, I turned sweet 19...haha not very sweet at all. 19 sounds incredibly old to me, but mainly because I believe that I haven't changed very much since I was 16 or 17 years of age.

I have news dear readers, usually I don't blog about this sort of thing but Daniel came to my house, for the first time ever. So some of you are probably reading this thinking what's the big deal? Well, I've actually never had a guy over at my house before, period. Which is probably not normal for someone who is already 19 years old...(see no wonder I still feel like a child!)

Of course I wanted him to come over since a long time ago but I didn't want to lie about it and having the house free for certain for a period of time is near impossible for me. So after many heated and awkward conversations with my mum, she said yes. WIN!
For me this is honestly a huge step, after that my parents were pretty cool about it, by that I mean they weren't angry or critical, they were just nagging me constantly about it ahah. I could probably describe the whole day in perfect detail to you but that will turn into a novel.

Then on Monday it was Daniel's birthday, yes we're almost twins hehe, and also our anniversary :)

Also photography for the Oaktree Gala was much more tiring than I ever imagined. My legs were all tight and cramping the next day, even my arm was, but that would be due to my complete lack of biceps and triceps.

Attempting to sleep early tonight...which should be now D;

Double Prac

I know my blog posts are probably so boring these days because I have no photos :(
But as of late (ie. the past few months) I have just been incredibly drained at the thought of having to resize upload etc.

Today I had a biology prac from 10-1pm, then a physics prac from 2-5pm.
I've never had 2 pracs on one day so this was a new experience, now I see why some people didn't recommend it, it's utterly draining for the mind, body and soul.
In addition, I'm still sick, and I had a restless sleep last night, but when I got into a deep sleep it was great...only I had to get up shortly after that.

Tomorrow I'm actually one of the official photographers for the Oaktree Gala!
Quite exciting, I get to take photos of Ted Ballieu (Premier of Victoria for those of you that aren't from Australia) and other such figures. Wee-ow.

We'll see how it goes, I've never been relied on to actually take professional photos so fingers crossed I don't disappoint.

Also 2 new followers?! :O Thanks guys I will be sure to visit your blogs in the next few days.

Love Lisa.

Passport photo woes

After many many hours of editing and perfecting my parents' passport photos, we go there to print it last night and discovered that it would cost..$7.
The reason why I was taking the photos is because mum already forked out $15 for the photos they take at the PO, and it's safe to say she was less than impressed by the quality. But I am damn proud of the clarity and lighting in the photos I took, thanks to my SB-600 ;D
I could make this a part time job, if people pay me like $10 I'll take the photo and print it out for you oh and I'll obviously give you a choice in which photo you like the best because I won't just take one.
The above will never happen, but the day that someone pays for me to take they photo, I will be overjoyed, finally my expensive hobby will be making some of that money back.
I have to say of all the things I could get into, why photography? Every time I buy a new accessory its never less than $300. Why couldn't I like something cheap, like erasers or..stamps?!

Good news, I sold all my textbooks, maybe that's why I've been so generous with buying things for others...ahaha nah but it makes me happy being able to do that rather than the reverse. It's good to show that one cares, no?
But I think this spending streak must end very soon because I don't actually have that much money at all..LOL.

The severity of my cold has been fluctuating over the past few days, going from feverish and deathly ill to having mild sniffles and the occasional sneezing.
Let's just say at the moment I pretty much have to blow my nose every few minutes, my throat itches and my head feels stuffy but not all too bad

You know what, I really am in need of a new phone. Sylvia was kind enough to let me use one of her dad's old phones for the time being. But I'm just used to all the shortcuts, quick navigation and excellent camera on my old phone.
I miss my old phone :( well I still use it with my Vodafone sim, since I never take that phone out BUT it only works if I keep the phone slid open (it's one of the ones you slide up).
So that is next to impossible if I'm taking the phone around with me in my pocket or bag. Once it closes the screen goes black and stays that way for a couple of minutes and generally makes the phone lag out. Pretty annoying.

Time to shower,
Love Lisa.

Thank you world

<5hours of sleep --> 5 hours straight of uni --> Daniel's --> Incredibly stomach ache --> Train --> Home --> Dinner --> Being yelled at for being lazy and inconsiderate --> Wash dishes --> Blocked nose, sore throat, headache, ears blocked and ringing

How lovely,
Love Lisa.
