To love a thing means wanting it to live. - Confucius
I can't quite describe what's been going on with me personally. From an external observer my life couldn't seem more normal, if not bordering on dull. Yet somehow I've been experiencing a whirlwind of emotional turmoil. There's no one particular thing that set me off but rather an accumulation of all the stress and tension of little things over a long period time. Just thinking about it makes me head spin.
But it hasn't been good, and in the thick of it all my poor boyfriend has had to deal with unreasonable and intolerable me. I haven't been angry (or perhaps that's a matter of personal opinion), just easily provoke and extremely sensitive toward any ounce of criticism. Scratch that, I wasn't even being criticised but I took it upon myself to view everything as a criticism. For every minute I was happy, I could sink into a deep blue funk for the next few hours no matter what anyone said to me. In retrospect, it's obvious how much he tried to cheer me up but hell hath no fury like a woman scorned, ey? I knew I was being an emotional wreck for no good reason yet I couldn't pull myself out of it, I was being dragged into a deep, dark, abysmal hole of self pity, which was the most frustrating feeling and only served to further propel me into a even more hysterical state.
Despite this, Daniel managed to make everything better again in the end. He patched up broken ol' me. Just like always. How does he do it? Guess that's one secret I'll never tell (xoxo, Gossip Girl..oh my god I'm delirious). He saves me from myself (and I am my own worst enemy). And as I always say, I feel so lucky to have someone who will always be there for me, who will bear with me at my worst. Because at the end of the day how couldn't I feel relaxed when I have someone to curl up with and keep me warm.
Okay I should have stopped typing a long time ago because I can't take myself seriously right now and have a strange urge to throw in ridiculous references every few sentences.
More blog posts coming shortly,
Love Lisa.
Ps. I probably do not write in a grammatically correct manner as syntax has never been my strong point but bear with me.
