Specialist

Spesh Exam 1 wasn't too bad, considering even being able to do the majority of questions was a great achievement on my part.
I cannot guarantee how correct my answers were though.
But come onn method/his(her) marks! (If anyone understands the marking system?)

Aw on the train when I was about to get off, this guy opened the train door and he stood back and waited for me to walk out first, which was just so sweet aw.

Saw some serious cakeface oranged up girls at my tram stop, of course.

One major phobia.

Ventriloquist dolls, damn Goosebumps movie that I watched as a child has inflicted enduring mental trauma upon me :|

SHOOOOT ME ANYTHING

One Down...

Seven more days of written exams to live through.

If anyone is actually interested (god knows why) in the details of my english exam;
Single text response: Hard Times 'Who suffers the most in Hard Times?'
Context: Whose reality? (I don't quite remember the prompt, something along the lines of 'sometimes people find themselves living in worlds created by other people?')
Language analysis...well we all did the same one.

And just my luck, I happened to write an essay pretty similar to the prompt in the single text response, but I can't say that Mrs Badoer liked that essay. At least we discussed what I could have done better aha.
As you may realise, I struggle to be concise, it's just not what I do but I fear that I'll go off on a tangent if I ramble in essays hence I shy away from my usual lengthy explanations.
But apparently I needed to elaborate more on all my ideas, hence why I wrote practically a paragraph per page today, my reasoning being that I'd rather over-explain but manage to cover all aspects rather than miss something that is crucial.
And my context essay just made me laugh, they will either be entertained by my initial anecdote or think I'm insane.

Okay no more about english, it's all done and dusted I can't change anything.
Now who's excited for spesh?! :D Haaa.

Lunch at Liar Liar cafe with Sylvia, Tracey and Pauline.
That just reminded me, haphazard. Ahahha, it was in the language analysis and pauline was saying how she looked it up but she pronounced it hap-hah-ZARD, like each syllable pronounched separately rather than hap+hazard, I barely recognised what word she was referring to ahah so cute :)

Anyways I had a 'pigs might fly' pork hock. Yum yum yum yum.

Mmm Sleepy

8.17pm
Now it's all making sense 'Human memory is a marvellous but fallacious instrument' - Primo Levi

5.49pm
Summer..or spring if we want to be precise, has always thrown my body clock out of whack, the time is what I'd consider to be evening it's sunnier than it was at midday.
And night time doesn't come until quite late, which is lovely and all when I'm out and about (because if the sun is still in the sky then my mum won't think I'm going to die on the streets of Melbourne...yet) but right now I feel like I have all the time in the world, when really no, not at all.

I finally remembered the word that I could not stop repeating in my mind, fallacious.

1.59pm
Waking up at 8.30 to get to school at 9.30 was difficult, extremely difficult when one goes to bed at 1am the night before.
But funny that I slept at 12.30-1 every night yet made it to school at 8.30 in complete consciousness.
Oh well at least uni doesn't start as early as school, does it? Wow I have no clue.
But at least you don't have to go every day from 8.30 to 3.25pm

My whole body is actually sore from lack of physical movement, this is what studying does to you kids.
Funny how all these years of schooling come down to a few weeks of exams. But how unfair I think that is. What happens if you suffer a nervous breakdown on that very day, and if such an event were to occur then heavy ramifications are incurred as you are judged by your performance on this one particular day.
So they say, do your work, be prepared and you'll be fine, thereby convincing you that it's only right to subject yourself to the a form of torture known as studying.

But I could study my heart out and I know that due to time constraints and the general examination atmosphere it's impossible for me to do as well as I can.
(And if you wonder then, why ever do I still study, well because for me to go on living happy I need to know that I at least tried everything I could)
And to this they reply that everyone else is in the same boat, hence why scaling exists.

Well, something still doesn't feel right.

Oh god my head hurts from my agglomeration of thoughts and nonsensical meandering,
Love Lisa.

Oh No

Oh no no no NO D:
English exam looms so near
and damn that 2008 VCAA spesh exam I did yesterday, gave me false hope that I could do okay, but I should have realised 80% was an anomaly when I can barely get 60% in any of the other VCAA ones I've attempted sigh.

The way I feel towards English has shifted from indifference, to fear, to complacency, to panic, to contentment, to confusion, to regret, to hopelessness and to hopefulness.
And right now I'm floating between all these emotions, which is rendering me somewhat distraught at the prospect of 3 hours of non stop essay writing.
Have mercy on me.

On michaels macbook right now, my computer has finally succumbed to the virus, but luckily I just backed up all my files on my new 1.5Tb hard drive, sexy.
Now to format it and reinstall windows, a process that will undoubtedly take forever, oh well at least now I can finally install Photoshop CS5 while I'm at it, which I've been meaning to do for months now, though I hear that many prefer CS4 over CS5.

I tried using Michael's ipad just before but it I think my fingers are actually straining from my terrible grip when I hold pens. Shizen.
Ended up playing Vegie Samurai for a while aahaha

Ahh yeah, back to english/spesh/methods sighsighsigh.

Love Lisa.

PS. I finally finished reading Sherlock Holmes, jesus that book is like a thousand pages long (maybe an exaggeration)
But it was four books in one and the font on each page is incredibly condensed
Now to start on a Picture of Dorian Gray, which I've been meaning to read since year 9 and now I actually have a copy :)
PPS. I do apologise for any typos and incoherent sentences, the laptop is hooked up to a monitor at least 50cm away from where my face is and I can't get closer if I want to type simultaneously to looking at the monitor, anyways what I mean is that due to my lovely myopia what I'm seeing currently is half blurry so please excuse :)

Presque vu

I think I have finally found the phrase (do you call it a phrase), condition, state of being..which embodies me perfectly.
Always on the brink of an epiphany but never quite making it there, the feeling is ridiculously infuriating, it strains my very existence knowing that it's there but just not accessible to me.

Plus the more I think about it the more I realise how pervasive serendipity has been in my life, in everyone's lives really, and what a wonderful thing I believe it to be.

Okay, must stop looking into freakay shit soon.
Freudian concepts are blowing my mind and making me feel really uneasy (but in a way that I am compelled to know more).
