8.17pm
Now it's all making sense 'Human memory is a marvellous but fallacious instrument' - Primo Levi
5.49pm
Summer..or spring if we want to be precise, has always thrown my body clock out of whack, the time is what I'd consider to be evening it's sunnier than it was at midday.
And night time doesn't come until quite late, which is lovely and all when I'm out and about (because if the sun is still in the sky then my mum won't think I'm going to die on the streets of Melbourne...yet) but right now I feel like I have all the time in the world, when really no, not at all.
I finally remembered the word that I could not stop repeating in my mind, fallacious.
1.59pm
Waking up at 8.30 to get to school at 9.30 was difficult, extremely difficult when one goes to bed at 1am the night before.
But funny that I slept at 12.30-1 every night yet made it to school at 8.30 in complete consciousness.
Oh well at least uni doesn't start as early as school, does it? Wow I have no clue.
But at least you don't have to go every day from 8.30 to 3.25pm
My whole body is actually sore from lack of physical movement, this is what studying does to you kids.
Funny how all these years of schooling come down to a few weeks of exams. But how unfair I think that is. What happens if you suffer a nervous breakdown on that very day, and if such an event were to occur then heavy ramifications are incurred as you are judged by your performance on this one particular day.
So they say, do your work, be prepared and you'll be fine, thereby convincing you that it's only right to subject yourself to the a form of torture known as studying.
But I could study my heart out and I know that due to time constraints and the general examination atmosphere it's impossible for me to do as well as I can.
(And if you wonder then, why ever do I still study, well because for me to go on living happy I need to know that I at least tried everything I could)
And to this they reply that everyone else is in the same boat, hence why scaling exists.
Well, something still doesn't feel right.
Oh god my head hurts from my agglomeration of thoughts and nonsensical meandering,
Love Lisa.

Oh No
Oh no no no NO D:
English exam looms so near
and damn that 2008 VCAA spesh exam I did yesterday, gave me false hope that I could do okay, but I should have realised 80% was an anomaly when I can barely get 60% in any of the other VCAA ones I've attempted sigh.
The way I feel towards English has shifted from indifference, to fear, to complacency, to panic, to contentment, to confusion, to regret, to hopelessness and to hopefulness.
And right now I'm floating between all these emotions, which is rendering me somewhat distraught at the prospect of 3 hours of non stop essay writing.
Have mercy on me.
On michaels macbook right now, my computer has finally succumbed to the virus, but luckily I just backed up all my files on my new 1.5Tb hard drive, sexy.
Now to format it and reinstall windows, a process that will undoubtedly take forever, oh well at least now I can finally install Photoshop CS5 while I'm at it, which I've been meaning to do for months now, though I hear that many prefer CS4 over CS5.
I tried using Michael's ipad just before but it I think my fingers are actually straining from my terrible grip when I hold pens. Shizen.
Ended up playing Vegie Samurai for a while aahaha
Ahh yeah, back to english/spesh/methods sighsighsigh.
Love Lisa.
PS. I finally finished reading Sherlock Holmes, jesus that book is like a thousand pages long (maybe an exaggeration)
But it was four books in one and the font on each page is incredibly condensed
Now to start on a Picture of Dorian Gray, which I've been meaning to read since year 9 and now I actually have a copy :)
PPS. I do apologise for any typos and incoherent sentences, the laptop is hooked up to a monitor at least 50cm away from where my face is and I can't get closer if I want to type simultaneously to looking at the monitor, anyways what I mean is that due to my lovely myopia what I'm seeing currently is half blurry so please excuse :)

Valedic & Last Day
Yeah I actually can't help but call it Valedic, I've said it too much now that it barely sounds right with the 'tory' on the end.

And here we go...
Yesterday, clearly I was thrilled with my first day back.
(LOL I look the same as the dailybooth picture ->)
Umm what's been happening..I really can't remember right now.
Because this huge motherbitchin' of a blind pimple is impeding me from thinking. Seriously. It's huge, I may as well have 2 chins.
Love Lisa.

Friday the 13th
However, quite the contrary to popular belief, my Friday the 13th has been sweet as since I got to spend half the day with my bitch ;)
And I was in an oddly good mood for chem when I got back to school, I could not stop laughing at the stories Kate told about Mr Nicoll, I was in tears.
Not to mention the fact tonight is the eve of entrance into womanhood LOL.
Only things I can recall in my week thus far:
-Physics SAC...err possibly very shit possibly okay?
-Spesh SAC, terrible, did not at least 1/3 of the sac itself...if I get over 50% I will be fairly surprised
-Jenny's studio art photos of Sylvia looked amazing (of course) therefore I need her to model for me in the holidays ;D
Random thoughts, imagine if they don't accept my id tomorrow night, even though it's really me and legit, my hair just looks quite different to what it was 2 years ago and I'm doing a closed mouth smile..which is not how I usually smile..hmm
To Do:
-card
-present (part I,II,III)
-charge camera
-clear memory card
-pack shit for tomorrow
-find scanner
-give sylvia the last part of her present on monday
-do nails
OOH thank you to gen for the cupcakes, they were so good mmm ;D
More later, I'm too excited for everything to just sit here and type for any longer,
Love Lisa.

Lang Anal
Finally, english is over for the time being. Well, in terms of assessed work.
The article was this one, which, to my amazement when I saw it on the single desk I was about to sit at, I have read before :D
Including the cartoon with four frames and additionally a letter to the editor written in response to the article.
Yess finally reading the newspaper has paid off. Wait is payed a word..paid...payed, it's paid right? :|
Fingers crossed this will be something I can actually do well on in english because I feel like it wasn't nearly as (okay, far from) terrible as the On The Waterfront one. Plus my practise ones were fine, it's just me + time limit = disaster.
Anyways, now it's time to catch up on spesh..many..many MANY chapters of spesh. It'll probably lead into the holidays..can't wait huh ^o)
Elspeth printed out our formal invites, aw I should have made space at the top so she could personalise them, instead of having to cram above the 'you are invited to', if only I knew.
It was another one of those Tuesdays. Had a chinese detailed study sesh with Sui Laoshi in my spare. Formal committee meeting at lunch, plus there were meant to be badminton trials but luckily they didn't seem to have been on.
And of course after school was english. Weow.
OH OH OH OHHHHH, my new earphones came :DD
They're freaking awesome, the bass was meant to be better than the sennheiser ones but they seem about the same. Who cares though, they have a fabric cord thing...if that makes sense, rather than the usual plastic encasing the wires and shit.
I believe the advantage is added flexibility? And I always twist/ wrap my wires, which according to dad and brother is how I killed my last ones.
Wait one more thing, my dad bought me a book about giant pandas for my detailed study. He got our relative (I think she's my cousin) who lives in Syndey to get it while she was in China, and then she mailed it to us when she got back to Australia. Mrs. Sui was mighty impressed by my dad's initiative, but no more than I am, aww.
Oh I hear it's 粽子 season ahahhah, to commemorate some ancient guy in the army who drowned himself because the emperor didn't listen to his amazing advice. Okay I don't know the full story and then people threw 粽子 into the water so he couldn't get eaten by...whatever lived down there. How thoughtful of them.
Anywho, my parents are making enough to keep us alive for the long cold winter.
Seems like we've moved on from the 小笼包 and 馒头, but they'll be back before I realise it.

Need to shower and clear my camera's memory card.
Because it's about time I started doing something in preparation for the formal,
Love Lisa.

Initialising Finalising Complete
Chem was easier than any practise exam I've done, VCAA and non VCAA. That is both bad a good but who cares, if I could do all of it (*cough physics) then I'm thrilled :D

Oh unicorns.

Skip the partying bit, I don't even stay up to do anything anymore.

Really, the linux penguin?

LMFAO Okay this one is just for kicks...you'll understand if can recognise the picture below:

< A Month From Mid Years
**11.55pm: It's cold, I'm tired and hungry. And have stayed up to no avail yet again :( Sleep calls. Goodnight my lovers.
I'm not going to exaggerate, I've done 5 hours of pure spesh today and I still haven't caught up with the homework.
I'm so screwed because this was meant to be a day of mid years study.
I hit my temple on a door frame it still hurts. Almost made a fail bet with my brother on the spelling of Robert Pattinson's last name. Lucky for me, he wasn't sure enough to risk giving me $20 LOL.
Shit, it's crazy how short/emaciated looking I used to be, just two years ago? Looking back at pictures..wow.
The summer of double beef and cheese really did wonders... :\
I'm sure you've all realised that I don't take photos as often. Well I've realised something too, I can spend 3 hours taking photos of the same thing, then another 2 photoshopping the only photo out of the 300 that I like.
It's a long process.
Oh and then there's uploading onto my photobucket. I'm getting lazier and lazier. :(
Actions speak louder than words...maybe they do but sometimes you're oblivious until it's all spelled out for you.
It's so obvious now. Just step back and look outside of any preconceived notions. All in good time. You'll see.
Talk to me,
Love Lisa
PS. I'm pro at pretending I'm asleep. Did I ever mention that?
PPS. If you're following me anonymously imma stab you. Nah jokes, I'd just like to follow you back :)

Spesh Test

Darn this mid afternoon lighting throws weird shadows.
Yeah yeah it's only a test whatever. So I don't care that much, but our SAC is an analysis task, so if I can't do a basic test in spesh then I'm fuucked for the SAC.
It was alright I guess, I think I lost about 6 marks though..OUT OF 26 :| yeahh, if it manages to stay at 20/26 I'll be happy enough..considering I just passed both of the exams last year.
Also, we got our new school ID's :) Which meant we got to see how our school photo turned out. I don't mind mine, but I never do, then I hate it, then I like it, then I don't care again.

There's just ONE thing that is pissing me off, you'll all be like wtf is wrong with her it's no big deal, but i have this bit of my fringe, that separated with the rest of the fringe and it's just aggravates me to notice. I could have so simply brushed it to the side, but no, no.

New favourite writing implement.

That badge we got (the year 12 one, the other one we got in year 7) at this assembly:

Can you spot which one I am :P
Recent but belated:
Our Retreat. Why yes, we do all have drawn on moles and one eye with makeup...

Chinese New Year

My cactus won't stop spawning

Massssss spiderweb woo :D

My bro's back from Sydney in a couple of hours. The moth that previously flew into my face is back to haunt me.
Time for sleep,
Love Lisa.
PS. I miss you.

Retreat
Just before I get into that, I finished Enduring Love. I feel a little empty, I need something to read :| Seriously.
I keep forgetting to get the books from Martin.
Oh and today is 37 degrees, I didn't even want to turn my computer on but my brother was backing up the app files but then it went crazy when he left so it didn't end up working.
Day 1
Kicked off at school. I'm in 12B with Paul, Zinta, Jenny Han, Elise, Faith, Rushani, Cass and so forth :)
Mr Nicoll and Mrs Dumsday are our form teachers, not bad.
Received our timetables, diaries and Year 12 jumpers.

Yeah only difference is it says Year 12 2010 and it's a light blue.
Must say I'm pretty disappointed by my timetable, my methods teacher teaches so slow I will never learn and I have no frees/spares (whatever you call it at your school) at the end of a SINGLE day in a fortnight. Um that's effed up, dodgy as FUUUCK. Couldn't they have pity on me, I mean I already have half the amount of frees as everyone else, couldn't they at least make them good :S
Discovered our lockers are in the tiniest most cramped corridor opp the biology labs.
Attended a short introductory 30min lesson of each class.

Queen's College
AT the place we got our rooms, ours somehow didn't have our room numbers so it was trial and error until we found the door which our key worked for.
Had beef burgers and berry tart for dinner.

Jenny's Game haha.
Listened to teachers talk.
Had a year level discussion.
"Made a tree of leaves"

Then we had some free time, we were all in a random room and Jenny did makeup for one of everyone's eyes.

Jenny & Tracey
Next, tranny photos. Which I will steal off Pauline one day soon.

Teachers started patrolling the hallways around 11pm, yelling at people to go to bed and what not.
I don't think they minded to much when more than one person slept in the same room.
But I didn't really mind separate rooms. And besides that way I could talk to Martin without disturbing anyone else :)
Day 2
My alarm was set for 6.30, didn't actually leave my room until 7am because I couldn't tell if anyone else was awake.
Pauline came to get me and Tracey up so we all went down to the Dining Hall.
Breakfast was pretty generic, I really craved bacon and has browns mmmm.
Instead I had nutri grain, not filling..at all.
Afterwards we went back to our rooms to pack everything up.

Basically what everyone's rooms looked like. I thought mine had a pretty nice view.
First guest speaker was a physio, talked to us about posture for a while. Wow typing that just made me really conscious of my terrible hunch.
Onto our first activity. We signed up for "breathe, Stretch, Exercise" with Mr O'Neill, thinking it was some sort of yoga but it ended up being just stretches, as in very basic ones. Though we did have to walk 'briskly' to Princes Park.
Came back, had a morning tea.
Second activity was "Healthy Mind, Healthy Body" with Jane. We did meditative breathing and just talking about how we need to stop thinking sometimes..you know.
Lunch was a pie of choice plus a small amount of chips + either potato salad or green salad.

the Junior Common Room, where all meetings were held.
"Effective Communication" was next. It was all about body language and the different ways to communicate...most of it talked about the obvious.
Then we had a while to write about 'Our Goals', nobody had pens so it didn't really work out. Just became a chatting sesh ;D
Next we had a group photo, I think Belinda from our school came just to take a photo. She has the sweetest job at our school, I swear!
Then we all just ran off to the city.
I think this is a fairly passable account of our Retreat.
Will add more photos when I get them.
Love Lisa.
PS. Yesterday around 7pm, I discovered one of my budgies, Butter, had died from heat stroke. I know it's no ones fault but if the cage was in the shade, I'm pretty sure she didn't need to die.
The others were also exhausted from the heat but recovered quite quickly.
The poor baby, her mate was really morose this morning, making sad little chirping noises at the edge of the cage...
