Fountain Pens

I've always loved fountain pens, even when I was little, perhaps due to my intrigue over calligraphy. Yet, being clumsy old me, I always manage to get ink on my fingers, then onto my face and so forth.
Karl Lagerfeld uses Shu Uemura nail polish to sketch his designs:

S.T. Dupont Black Mother-of-Pearl Fountain Pen, RRP 1900 USD, if I were rich, I'd own one of these babies.

Today did not kick off to the best start, I felt beyond nauseous and generally horrible for the first 2 hours of the day. After a 15minute breather at the start of bio and a quick call to Daniel to moan about how shit I felt, I returned to the lecture find myself strangely sleepy. I did not go to bed particularly late last night, before 1am for sure, it was odd that I couldn't keep my eyes open. This kept repeating itself for the next 4 hours.

Then I slept like a baby for about an hour or 2 with Daniel taking care of me.

Tomorrow I have to go to the doctors at 8am because I start uni at 10 and finish at 5...jesus am I destined to never get a proper night's sleep!

The Good and The Bad

Judgement Day come the 13th.
I don't remember who recently reminded me about results, and how they keep thinking about it when they have a spare moment.
But it's starting to happen to me now, but I manage to keep my thoughts occupied on other things :P

A couple of things I want right now:
1. A cupcake
2. Speedlight SB-600 + Lightsphere diffuser
3. Instax Mini 7S Instant Camera

And how nice it is to spend all night with the person you love the more than anything in the whole wide world :P

I have a nasty cough right now, and it always gets worse when I'm about to fall asleep, which is just about the most annoying thing that could happen.

Finished A Clockwork Orange a day or two ago. Emily (I think it was Emily) was right, it is a good read :)

Overdosing on Sleep

I hadn't felt as terrible as I did yesterday, in a year or more?
So much so that I gave up on my spesh sac, I had at least 20mins till the end where I just sat there willing her to just tell us to stop.
And in the end we didn't even have recess, great.

When I got home, I didn't want my parents to start being all concerned and all you go out too much you sleep too late blah blah.
So I was just like 'I have a headache'...understatement of the century. And I refused to have my temperature taken because I knew I had a fever. In the end my dad coerced me into it and no wonder my head wanted to explode the whole day, I had a 40ish degree fever.
And the moment dad saw that reading he panicked, just as I expected and wanted to take me to the doctor but I managed to talk him out of that one.

In the end he made me freshly orange juice LOL.

So I went to sleep around 4 yesterday and did not get out of bed until 11something to brush my teeth.
Then Back to sleep and I got up at 8.30 today, ate a roll and went back to sleep until 12.30 :)

Sigh and clearly I'm not at school right now.
But this can't be good, I'm not feeling that sick right now..I don't feel sick at all when compared to yesterday.
And I have sacs next week, ones that I don't even remember.
I don't get physics...besides from the right hand slap rule ahahah.

Oooh okay, have not blogged since Tuesday.
Well Wednesday was the UMAT, lucky we left earlier than needed because traffic within a few hundred metres of Caufield racecourse was terrible.
So I walked it.
The UMAT itself was so tiring, I can't tell whether it was good or bad, just average, I definitely did not understand many of the patterns but I think that's because I was so tired from the other sections.
Also I do pin some blame on the UMAT for me being sick, ha, I exerted too much mental strain and therefore I was more susceptible to catching some sort of viral cold.
Afterwards had spanakopita (google told me that was how it was spelt?) with Daniel :) Yum and it was soo good and I do LOVE anything pastry mmm.
Speaking of food, where are my parents D: I want lunch, guess I'll just eat fruit or something for now.

More later,
Love Lisa.

Here Comes The Sun

Summer, it's been too long.
But something is not right, something is very wrong. I'M STILL SICK.
And in a sense I feel better but all I need is a few hours out and I feel like crap, tired, headachey, my cough gets worse, my sniffles drive me loco. Not the prettiest sight.

And I think hayfever hits every now and then too. Why oh why?

My current dilemma, Specialist Maths next year, do I do it or do I not. I'm having the worst internal, psychological battle.
First thought, ew I hate it I'm going to do shit..anything is better.
Next though, wait half my tests have been alright this year, and I found it interesting.
Then, but wait, don't I like other subjects more..maybe I won't do well in them though.
And once again, surely I'll do better than spec?!
Finally, no what if I can do well in spec, I drop it for something else, and do shit in that other subject I pick up.
I think about this (quite obviously) too much.
And my finally other thought is, if I don't do spec next year, I have to pick up a subject I could have done without the 1/2, such as Bio or Psych
So if I'm to do that, then why the hell did I spend a whole year working my butt off in GMA, when I could be finishing off a 3/4 and then having a whole subject less to do next year.
AHRGFI(@T*(P@R*)WFGBO: AHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Yeah okay, I wish someone could just look at my situation and decide what was the best route for me.
Because I'm not good at deciding, truly not at all.

[I feel like I'm thinking about this all wrong, but I don;t know whats right]

Yes anyways moving on, I've spent enough time mentally bashing myself over that.
Yesterday saw M. We watched 'cloudy with a chance of meatballs', not too bad at all :)
It was kinda cute, and food is always good (there was food flying out of the sky).
Went with Tracey to the city to buy our spec text books for next year (haha yeah i know the irony). Then she came with me and I saw Martin for a short while. Sorry to keep his friends waiting, really.

Shower time,
Love Lisa.
PS. Michael aka my brother, managed to very comfortably secure a 49 (that was his raw study score *dies) in Spec. See what I have to live up to?

Sick and trying to study for chem

Chemistry 'the bane of one's existence'. My brother is such weirdo, I mean that in the most loving way possible.

I just popped into the kitchen to check if dinner was ready, lo and behold there is the fam sitting around the table, lasagne in the middle, and they're all eating/drinking soup.
At first I was all 'oh what dinner's done why didn't anyone tell me' but then in a split second i realised what soup they were eating. SOUP WITH LEAVES FROM OUR FRONT GARDEN THING.
When I sayy leaves, I mean leaves, you look at them and you know that they're not something that's meant to be eaten, they look like vine leaves and taste like bloody vine leaves.
So I was fairly okay that I had not been included in this part of the meal. Which mum had intended, props to her.

Anywho yesterday I came home from the methods (part II) exam to find myself with that itchy feeling in the back of my throat. I had been sneezy all day, but I thought that was just hayfever, I should have realised it was more than that since I did take Telfast in the morning. Genius.
So yeah fell asleep last night praying that I would wake up completely not sick. Woke up. I was sick.
And I don't thnk I've been sick for half a year, quite the record if I do say so myself.

So not the most productive day studying for good old chemistry, but hopefully the exam won't be ridiculously difficult *cough physics *cough gma

No pictures, my eyes hurt too much to even look at the monitor for extended period of time.

I swear I'll sleep early tonight.

Love Lisa
