Valentines Day + Presents

This was my second Valentines with Daniel and this might seem a little odd to some, but to me this day was perfect.

For weeks I had been begging him to take me to eat ribs, initially we were going to go to TGI's, since that was the only place we knew of that had the kind of ribs I wanted (bbq and saucy). But then lo and behold Daniel found out about a place in Caufield named Big Boy BBQ (I loled at the name), it basically specialises in american style bbq meats. It had good reviews so we had to go there.

We sat outside since all the booths inside were taken and besides, it was a nice warm evening and we got to pat a really cute and happy doggie.

While waiting for our food to come we were given a basked of sauces, a whole roll of paper towel and a bucket for the bones. Haha things were going to get messy!

We ordered 'the Little Boy', which consisted of: pulled lamb shoulder, saucy beef brisket and half rack of lamb ribs with 2 regular sides. Daniel did end up letting me eat the majority of the ribs and it was delicious, but ever so fattening. But still delicious ;) Probably not for anyone who doesn't like fatty foods. Damn look at the sauce on those ribs! I'm salivating at the picture. Also those fries were amazing, I don't know what kind of herbs or spices or oils they were cooked it but it was so good.

What I laughed at was apparently a couple walked past us and said 'that smells good' then came back and ordered food from Big Boy BBQ. We were bringing in the customers!

All done, the aftermath. I have Daniel to thank for the food baby I ended up with :3

I realised I forgot to ever blog about my Christmas presents from Daniel! Here there are, a watch from fossil (how pretty is it! and he picked it), a santa rilakkuma and the last isn't a Christmas present but he one it for me from one of those claw games on the day of my haircut :P But how adorable is mini totoro? He is so tiny,  less than 10cm high hehe

Another unintentional hiatus

Sorry to have disappointed my new followers by not following through with my promise of a post 'on the weekend'.

I just had my Finance exam yesterday so the week leading up to it I decided to be as studious as possible. I guess it did pay off in the end, 8/10 questions in the exam I could give decent responses to, the other two, I really made up anything I could think of...

So by the end of this week, there will be massive posts coming. I can't even begin to account for all the shit I've bought. And I've eaten out of a couple of times recently for dinner (which is not something I commonly do), maybe I'll do some food reviews? :P Haha.

Love Lisa.

PS. I noticed a substantial portion of my people that visit my blog (besides from those in Australia) are from France! I did not expect this :O Bonjour, je m'appelle Lisa, je suis chinois. Je parle anglais et chinois. Comment tu t'appelle? Comment allez-vous?
Haha sorry if there are any typos, I learnt French when I was 12-15 years old and I don't have the best memory.

With My One & Only

The nights of cooking paella and falling asleep to berry scented candles:
I was in charge of marinating the chicken, which was an experience in itself while Daniel did the chopping and dicing. We were trying to mimic Nando's paella, and we did a decent job :P

The day of my haircut:
Photoworld, just like the old days :') but photoworld sure has upgraded recently, so many new game machines. Daniel also won me a tiny totoro, which I find to be the cutest plushie I've ever come across.

Then to Meshiya for ramen, well in the end I ordered don because just thinking of the curry and the chicken made me drool. We also decided to try sake, it was interesting, tasted like vodka but more of a rice flavour (for obvious reasons).

This weekend I'll post about all my recent purchases (by recent I mean last few months), and my my there's more than I can keep track of.

Goodbye Hair, Hello GAMSAT

So I finally finally got a haircut, by an actual hairdresser on Friday the 20th. Such a feat I have not completed since the tender age of maybe 10 or so? The cut itself isn't all that different from what my hair looked like before, more blunt long layers. The biggest difference is that the hairdresser styled my fringe fairly differently, she split it more towards the centre and it actually looked good. Yet at home I seem to be struggling to recreate the same thing, I didn't get a photo of what it looked like either, massive mistake.

My hairdresser was Dannii, and her hair was so nice, it was maybe a longish bob length? She spent a very long time on my hair, definitely over an hour, and she really took her time to show me how to best style it, which I thought was very attentive (for lack of a better term) of her.

My hair still looks a decent length and I got about 5 inches chopped off :O

I finally registered for the GAMSAT today. Eeep, I need to start studying for it, even though it's one of those things you really can't study for (like the UMAT and what not).

Also, as promised I have been taking more pictures with my D60, I just haven't gotten around to importing and uploading them yet. I'll maybe it add it to this post later

Here's a comparison picture of my hair:

I apologise for how poorly composed these photos are.

Love Lisa.

PS. yes this post was written on the 22nd, I just never ended up posting it for some reason or other until 4 days later.

Happy 18th

Happy 18th Monthary that is ;)

After a roller coaster of emotions (on my end), I was finally pacified and we saw Sherlock Holmes. It wasn't a bad movie, I enjoyed the first one more though.

If you don't want to hear/read me spout corny, sentimental drivel then please don't read the rest of this post.

I've said it before but I'll say it again.I am so so lucky to have found someone that treats me the way Daniel does. There's just something about the way that he makes me feel, that is so unbelievably addictive, it's a feeling that I've never come close to in the past. It's as if, part of us, separate from any of the three dimensions, has entwined and interlocked. I'm sure many people probably think I'm still naive, there's still so much I don't know about relationships and sure, no one knows everything.

But there's just some things that you know you know. Oh I just can't explain it, but if you can only understand when you've experienced it yourself. Alright, I could go on endlessly but I'll stop myself before you stop following my blog. I hope my other half isn't embarrassed that his girlfriend is a maestro of corniness. Since you're probably reading this, I love you and thank you for everything, you're my lobster hehe.

^_____________^

Love Lisa.

P.S. Brownie points for anyone who understands the lobster reference.

My Apologies

Sorry for neglecting my blog. I've just been really drained as of late.

Hmm some updates:

Daniel & I created delicious delicious chicken paella, it was the first time I'd ever tried cooking a meal without specific instructions, it was a trial and error with the amount of ingredients necessary. I love love loved going grocery shopping with him and doing little every day tasks together like cooking, washing, doing the dishes.

I've started summer school this week. If you asked me a year ago, I would have laughed at the idea of me studying a subject during the holidays. But sometime during the mid of last semester it hit me that summer school was a rare opportunity to decrease work load during the actual uni semester, while also giving me the chance to do better in my subject semester as I can focus all my attention on it.

This morning I received this email:
'Hey Tim,

Firstly, Tim? I checked the details of the email and it was actually sent to my uni address (and forwarded to my gmail).
I decided to follow the link since it was definitely legit (I'm not an idiot when it comes to these things), and I was right, it really was an email from facebook and I could basically take over control of Tim's account if I really wanted to.
So moral of the story, don't associate the wrong email with your account.
